You are in charge of initiating corporate training at your organization, and are now wondering if they are working effectively. Naturally, organizing training on an organizational level surely takes up a lot of resources and time, and there are certain expectations the organizations develop as a return on their investment.
There is no physical attribute that can be measured to see if the training organized worked well among your employees. You may be able to see the results with the passage of time, as things like employee satisfaction, change in corporate behavior or job performance cannot be gauged quantitatively. Most corporate training effectiveness calculating strategies are mostly guesswork, and you and your organization will have to trust the process. Having said that, you can make use of the employees and technology to work together, and there are some training objectives that can be met and measured to see how effective the training has been.
To gauge how well your corporate trainings are performing, you must ask the following questions:

Is the training covering what needs to be taught?
Make sure that the training being offered covers the learning objectives and the skills promised. It seems like an obvious thing to check, but there have been instances where the most key aspects of the training were left out, due to any reason, like the pressure to push a certain skill or time and money constraints.
The most important step to ensure that concrete skills are imparted is to emphasize competency based learning. Organizations can also create a learning platform where training and curriculum are uploaded for the employees to go back and reiterate.
How well are the employees performing?

Check how well the employees are performing after training by setting some KPIs. Checking the number of people who attended a certain course is usually the first step, and matches up with the performance the employees show after they have completed an online class or an onsite training.

This is another obvious question, but the way your employees respond to a trainer or a course also speaks volumes about their learning process. Also employ a variety of feedback techniques, like reactionary questions, short forms, tests and quizzes, to really know the full picture.
